Nicky Polanco

Nicky Polanco has quickly established himself as the top defenseman in Major League Lacrosse. He is the two time MLL Defensive Player of the Year, an award he won back-to-back in the 2004 and 2005 seasons. Poalnco and his intimidating playing style helped to lead the Long Island Lizards' defense to be one of the best in the League. The Lizards had the best Goals Against average over the first half of the 2006 season, largely because of Polanco's defensive play. The team even pulled off one of the biggest trades in MLL history in 2005 to bring Polanco home to Long Island. Nick also represented Team USA at the World Games in 2006.
