Peter Vlahakis

Peter Vlahakis is a professional lacrosse player with the Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse. Vlahakis is the top face-off man in the MLL holding the top face-off percentage in MLL history. He was selected to participate in the 2007 and 2008 MLL All-Star Game.

Vlahakis was drafted in the 4th round of 2004 Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft by the New Jersey Pride. On July 3, 2008 Vlahakis set the league record for face off wins and percentage by winning 35 of 48 or 73% of his face-offs in a single game. Vlahakis attended Fairfield University where he was ranked seventh in the nation with a face-off win percentage of .633 in 2003 and was ranked as one of the top-10 face-off men in the NCAA in each of his four seasons with the Stags. Vlahakis was a two-time All-New England selection and pre-season All-American in 2002.
