During his MLB career, Andy Stankiewicz played for four major league clubs. After playing in the minors for 11 years, his MLB debut was in 1992 for the New York Yankees. His career continued playing for the Houston Astros, Montreal Expos and Arizona Diamonbacks. In 2006 he was hired as the assistant coach at Arizona State University where he continues to coach.
