Val Verhunce
Former Tour Pro Val Verhunce will begin his sixth season at Sonoma State as the men's golf coach and his second as the women’s head coach. The 2007-08 season was a momentous one for Verhunce and his Seawolves as the men's team captured the CCAA and West Region championships. The women's team also got off the ground and set a foundation for success in the future.
As a PGA Professional with over 25 years of experience and a Class "A" member of the Professional Golfers Association of America, Verhunce has supported golfers in realizing their goals along in addition to providing them with a high level of motivation. Verhunce started the men's golf program at Sonoma State in 2004 and has been instrumental in the remarkable amount of success the team has enjoyed in its first five years.
